Croeso | Welcome to the first edition of the Voices of the Beacons Newsletter
We are delighted to launch this publication after many years as a way to celebrate our music, share updates to all and keep our community connected throughout the year. Each edition will feature news, highlights, profiles, and future events.

Overall, 2025 has been a busy and meaningful year for the Choir. From participating in international cultural exchanges and festival festivals, releasing a new album, maintaining vibrant local performance schedules, and hosting many Choirs from across the country, the choir continues to promote Welsh choral culture and strengthen community connection through music.

One of the standout highlights this year was the choir’s cultural exchange trip to northern Italy in September 2025. Alongside the Dunvant Male Choir, they visited the Alpine village of Arabba where they were hosted by Coro Fodom, a local choir.

Earlier in the year, the choir recorded and released a new album titled Haul ar y Llanne (Sun on the Parishes) that reflects Welsh heritage and life through music. The album project was not only a musical milestone but also a creative highlight, capturing themes from local history and the choir’s own experiences.

In addition to international travel and festival appearances, the choir continued local performances and collaborations through the year, including joint concerts with other Welsh male voice choirs such as Onllwyn Male Choir and Morriston RFC Male Choir, along with Croydon Male Voice Choir and Bestwood Male Choir from across the border.

As the year concludes, the Choir performed at various Christmas concerts and seasonal musical activities local to Brecon and the surrounding area, rounding off 2025 with the same warmth and musical excellence that has characterised the past twelve months.
